SENIOR CLASSES

Senior Burn Circuit is an energizing and challenging workout designed for active senior adults. This high-intensity strength and light cardio workout will push you, no matter where you are in your fitness journey. Five minute circuits target: upper body, lower body, core, cardio, and total body. Class held on gym floor.
Silver Sneakers: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support. Class held on gym floor.
Senior Strong: Strength training adds health to our bodies as we age. Age-related mobility limitations are a fact of life for many older adults. A big culprit for losing our physical abilities as we grow older is the age-related loss of muscle mass and strength, which is called sarcopenia. Typically, muscle mass and strength increase steadily from birth and reach their peak at around 30 to 35 years of age. After that, muscle power and performance decline slowly and linearly at first, and then faster after age 65 for women and 70 for men. This class is designed to increase physical strength for senior adults in the weight room. All major muscle groups are worked. Build muscle, joint integrity, and mobility. The weight room is available to class participants only during this time. Please book class in wellness app to reserve spot.
